We've begun our work in Petit Trou

Ahhhhh, yes, we have internet access now. We are doing well. It is nice and hot here. The rooms are great. Duct tape and the screen material I got at mcguckins is working great.... keeping those misquitoes at bay. Our trip went really well. All 58 duffle bags weighing 50lbs each made the entire trip with us to Port-au-Prince.They tell us that the water levels in the rivers are quite low for this time of year, but as we crossed the last river before Petit Trou,Teresa and I could tell that it was definitely higher this time of year than it is in January. The good news is that we didn't have towade across the river like they did last year.....
We arrived in Port-au-Prince and rented 2 SUV's and 2 pickup trucks. Kesner met us at the airport and had already found someone to manage getting our bags through customs when we walked off the airplane. It was amazing! Our trip from Port-au-Prince to Petit trou took 5.5hrs with a few stops along the way. We arrived at about 5:30pm last night just as the sun was setting.
Loumene made us fish and rice and beans for dinner, and not long after we were unpacking our things in our rooms and ready for bed....
Today we started with morning prayer, breakfast and spent the morning unpacking supplies. Each day we will share lunch with the teachers after the children go home from school and then the afternoons the teachers will attend workshops that are being put on by the American teachers who are fluent in french.
Mike stowe is our computer repair person and has us up and running! "2 computers are out of triage with 3 left in the queue." And, they have successfully tested the switch and wireless access points and all 4 of them work. Tomorrow they will be making 4 "cent met" (100m) cables.
